This course is designed to give students a fundamental understanding of the factors that should be considered when designing systems for humans. The course will cover human-centered design processes and evaluation methods, including measurement and data analysis. Different human characteristics such as motor, sensory, and cognition will be introduced, and design principles for displays, controls, hand tools, human-computer interaction will be taught as they are ergonomic design criteria.
